Contactless object parameter measurement using visual information is provided from two-dimensional images, or videos, or three-dimensional images obtained by Kinect or other similar types of sensors. Identification from the two-dimensional images can be used for detection of surface defects (cracks in the asphalt, aircraft surface irregularities, etc.). Using an additional light source and the design of the known forms of light signal when recording in the facilities, according to the received video footage template, light distortions identify objects dimensions, defects or discrepancies to the template. The possible result - the scientific feasibility study on the creation of an algorithm or a trial version of the program. Possible fields of application: a conveyor manufacturing production control, aircraft, road inspection and defect detection, multimedia or the like.
