Critical Point Drying

Critical point drying is performed using a QUORUM K850WM system operating at pressures up to 90 bar with liquid CO₂. The method ensures drying of structurally sensitive samples without surface tension-induced deformations. The chamber diameter is 150 mm.

Determination of Thermal Defects in Buildings

We perform thermal defect detection of buildings and engineering systems using non-contact thermal imaging analysis. Heat loss zones, structural defects and overheating areas are identified. Thermal imaging camera TP8 (SM:06207) is used.

Non-destructive Determination of the Condition of Reinforced Concrete Structures on Site

We perform non-destructive on-site condition assessment of reinforced concrete structures. Electro- magnetic(chemical) methods are used to assess the location of reinforcement,the thickness of the protective layer, signs of corrosion/local defects,justifying decisions regarding repair/strengthening.

We conduct research on the mechanical properties of materials and structural elements, assessing strength, stiffness and durability. We apply tensile, compression and bending tests, cyclic loading and fatigue analysis. We use NS PAS hydraulic station and KAL force transducers.

Measurements and Investigation of Surface Structures of Micro-nano Structures

We perform surface structure studies of micro and nano structures using AFM / SPM microscopes. Mechanical probe scanning provides nanometric surface information. The largest scan area is 110 × 110µm, vertical resolution is 0.34 nm, horizontal resolution is 1.4 nm.
